Senior Partner of Daremblum & Herrera Abogados (currently on leave). Professor of International Politics and Economics at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Costa Rica (1971-1990), Professor at the School of Journalism of the Autonomous University of Central America (1990-1994), Professor and Senior Researcher, Centers for Political Studies and Administrative Investigators (CIAPA), affiliated with the University of Tulane (currently on leave) Guest speaker and lecturer: The White House (Washington, DC), The National Assembly of France (Paris), the Council on Foreign Relations (Washington, DC and New York), universities and other forums in the United States, Europe and Latin America. President of the Jewish Community of Costa Rica (1986-1988) Economist of the International Monetary Fund, Washington, DC (1965-1968).

 

Jaime Daremblum is a columnist and editorialist in the newspaper La Nación, Costa Rica. He has also written regularly for The Wall Street Journal. He is the author of several books and numerous contributions of books, as well as articles on politics and international economics published in academic journals. Currently, he is a Senior Fellow and Director of the Center for Latin American Studies at the Hudson Institute in Washington, DC.
